In July 2004 here Eight teams were invited to the PFMP tournament in Uganda at the end of which Desidero F/C were crowned champions with Acanet F/C as the second best. Soccer Angels emerged as the Team of the Tournament for exhibiting very high sense of sportsmanship, patriotism, soccer finesse and technical competence. Not many days after the tournament, four players of Soccer Angels were called to Ghana’s Under -17 National Team. These players are: Samuel Inkoom, Tahiru Baba, Justice Oziito and Rauf Iddrisu. It is wonderful to see the effect that a football tournament with the right guidance and exchange can have on a community. Following the PFMP tournament several participating teams undertook follow-up activities which they have linked to PFMP. These activities include community clean-up service, public HIV/AIDS-prevention education and football tournaments to promote community development.
